From the cross to the grave, from the grave to the skies...
Resurrection Sunday was a blessing. The choir and orchestra led in the triumphant "Christ Arose" and "Hallelujah to the Lamb"
For a special, I sang a song with Meri Rogers that I wrote with Lee Black and Lyn Rowell last year at a co-writing retreat in Louisville, KY.
My friend Gary Ohmart put together a video background to accompany it.
Here is the lyric:.
(V1)
How I love to read the book you wrote for me
You loved the world so much you gave Your Son
Written there in crimson you told me I’m forgiven
It is done, It is done (so...)
(Chorus)
If you never speak another word of blessing
And the silence leaves me with a sense of loss
I’ll remember if my heart begins to question
Any doubt that You love me
Was settled at the cross
(V2)
I would be the first to admit I don’t deserve
The kind of favor you have always shown
But You don’t have to tell me
You proved how much you love me
And I know, I’ll still know
(repeat chorus)
(Bridge)
Every word was mercy
Every breath forgave
Every drop of blood
Testifies of grace
(repeat chorus)
"Settled at the Cross"
