Moving in! Hurray!
Today we moved everything on stage in our new worship center- the nine foot Baldwin grand (which sounds wonderful)...the new top of the line V-drums (which sound awesome), all the brand new monitors, the Aviom monitor system, new mic stands and cables, and my in ear monitors. We had all four of our worship teams do sound checks tonight and get aquainted with the system. Its a big stage but we fill is up. It was so much fun doing a rehearsal with the entire ministry team there. There is still a lot of tweeking to do on the system but it went almost like clockwork. Each team will be playing one song in the service. Sounds crazy, but it is gonna be a blast. Tomorrow the stage curtain goes up and hopefully the Lighting booth will be ready to move in the AV equipment. What a blessing to have so many gifted people involved here.
Thursday night we have our "practice service." Everybody who will be involved in the worship services, from greeters to lighting techs will be there to study their part. We will even have a practice baptism during the service (without the water since that part is not quite ready). Afterward there will be a debriefing time to fine tune the different ministries. Feb 17 is the first Sunday morning in our new home. We will be singing about heaven.
