Jodie, Jubi and I were sitting at Panera Bread Co. having lunch Sunday after church. Subconsiously I began to sing the line I had just eavesdropped from the table next to us "I don't want to be a lawyer..." I didn't realize I was singing it or even that I was eavesdropping. It was just a "palovic" reaction to the presence of coffee and and an unitentional co-writer speaking a little too loud at her table. As soon as I sang the line...I winced. Luckilly she didn't hear me sing it. That would have been bad! How would you explain that you weren't making fun of them? "Don't mind me, it's just the way I am....uh..songwriters, you know...uh...
Lee, Gina, and I finished up a song tonight we started in Nashville. We did it via ichat....er sort of. They were ichatting and I was the silent text messenger. My video chat wouldn't work. I'm PC and they are Mac and though others have gotten this to work cross-platform, this was my first attempt. Gina and I would text and Lee e-mailed mp3s of what we were coming up with so I could hear it. It's a wierd way to write a song, via text message, but it was enough for us to finish the second verse and bridge. I just love the song!
