15 minutes of fame
Countdown to Thanksgiving. Just one more run to the store. Nothing like real whipped cream for the pumpkin pie. Jodie is doing a special recipe for roasting the turkey. She got it from some network cooking show. Alton Brown...somebody. He's all the stuff now. Move over Emeril. We got a call from Nathanael last night Bobby Flay? (another TV chef guy) actually showed up at the coffee shop where he works...Fido in Nashville. He was doing something called a "throwdown" where he challenges the maker of some food item to a "dual", trying to make a better version. I guess I am out of the loop. Even Jubi knew who he was and was jumping around saying her characteristic "O My Word". It was a popsicle throwdown with a local Nashville manufacturer of specialty popsicles they sell at Fido. Sounds messy! Anyway, they have a pro taster and then someone off the street to judge the results. Bobby lost (I guess that doesn't happen very often). Jubi thinks those popsicles are wonderful. Nathanael got to pick up his plate after he ate. I don't know if he will be on the show but we'll be keeping an eye out for it.
