Songwriting Retreat
The writers retreat was amazing. 20+ writers meeting in a great setting to write and build relationships.
Highlights of the week:
Time to relax with Jodie and Jubi
Playing for Sue Smith as she a sang song of ours..."God Never Will" in the showcase
Crisp mornings looking over the lake, talking to the Lord.
Saying the "Songwriters Prayer" together.
Not knowing with whom you would be writing in the next session.
Hearing Jubi tell about her day at Churchill Downs.
Getting to know and writing with new people.
Completing the worktapes on two wonderful songs. Having a great start on two others.
Sunday morning, hearing the results of the week as people shared their songs.
Watching the faces of those who were savoring each line.
The drive home, processing all that happened.
