Worship Ministry, Songwriting, and other crazy stuff

Well done...

The last two days I have led worship at two memorial services. Roy's was yesterday. I don't know what the MP building at Ozark Christian College holds, maybe a couple of thousand.  It was full.  It was moving to hear his sons talk about this great man of God who has impacted so many. He was in campus ministry at MU for nearly 40 years, training students for all kinds of life ministry. He traveled behind the Iron curtain, often alone, to teach persecuted christians. He has preached all over the country literally in all 50 states. He brought to Christ and personally baptized somewhere around 9,000 people. For many years He carefully put their names in a prayer journal and would awake in the night to pray for them.  We sang very many of his favorite songs. I saw so many people there that have influenced my life over the years.

Today I led at Eva's service in a little town nearby.  She was 93.  26 people attended including family from California. She helped build planes in WW2.  She made quilts and special pies for carry in dinners. She loved God and took care of others who needed her so.

Today they are both with Jesus.
