Worship Ministry, Songwriting, and other crazy stuff

Karate Kid, Jaime Jam, and Indian Food

After rehearsals Saturday we went to to Jubi's karate competition.  It was fun to watch her do her little kata in front of everybody.  It was also fun to watch the other students rooting for her.  Most of them are twice her size. She was so proud of her prize ribbon.

Jaime Jamgochian was here over the weekend. She lead about 200 of our teen girls in an over-nighter.  On Sunday she led worship with me in the service. She really really connects with our people.  We have heard so many good things already about the weekend.  Several girls from her online board drove for hours to get here from as far as Hayes, Kansas (7 hours).  Even after the big weekend she invited them to lunch after church.  It was great to see her hang out and talk with them at Panera before we headed to the Tulsa airport.

After seeing Jaime off, Jodie and I spent the afternoon in Tulsa.  We picked up some of her favorite english muffins that you can only get at Petty's. Then we bought a dress for her for Hannah's wedding.  While we were driving around, we spied an Indian grocery store.  I asked one of the customers if he knew of a good Indian restaurant in town.  He smiled and told me about his favorite place.  Wow, was it good.
