His day
Went to Fellowship Bible Church this morning. Jason Ingram was leading worship. I loved the communion song "It's Already Done." SO meaningful. It was good to see how they worked the theme in the service. I ran into Tony, Chad and Guy there. Of course Jubi's favorite part is the tree swing by the lake. Every church needs one of those.
We hit a great italian resturant and the bookstore in the afternoon. Then we went to see the Perrys in concert at Grace Nazarene. We ran into Lynn Rowell there. They sang a song tonight that she and Wayne Haun wrote. That was fun to hear.
We got back just in time to see the Discovery Channel's special on the supposed tomb of Jesus. After all these years, it's still about an empty tomb. Sound's like an Easter song. The show was one leaping conclusion after another. It reminded me of the endless speculations of the evolution religion usually forwarded by that channel. It was good to hear Ted Koppel in the critical review take a slap at the "jounalism" claims of the director. I shudder to think of the millstone in store for those that build such stumbling blocks for the weak. I was please to see that they didn't recruit three liberal theologians (as is the custom) telling us that the bodily resurrection doesn't matter anyway.
"He who sits in the heavens laughs"...The Lord will have his day.
