1st full day in Uganda
It’s almost 9pm here (1pm – Joplin) and we are winding down for the night. Jet lag is finally wearing off. Our MAF (Missionary Aviation Fellowship) flight into (neighboring country) had been moved to tomorrow (Thurs) so we spent today in Kampala purchasing supplies (solar battery packs, stove, etc.).
We will split up for our journey tomorrow. Five will drive overland across Uganda and the rest will take the MAF flight. We leave early and we are not certain about communication from there. My thoughts and feelings: excited about the future, prayerful in all that we’re encountering, tired, miss four little Beck kids in Joplin, it’s still a little surreal, blessed by you and all that has led to this point, can’t believe the diversity of Wade’s sleeping talents while traveling…most of all humbled by God letting us take part in all that he is doing here (all of you teachers reading this really like that last sentence, don’t you!).
Thank you for all of your prayers thus far. We are blessed. Tomorrow, we take greetings and love from you to fellow believers in (neighboring country) How cool is that?
Josh (on behalf of the team)
And to those four Beck kids reading this…Daddy loves you. Don’t forget WHO’s name you are wearing; me and Mommy are wearing HIS name here too.
